MAISONRY ("we", "us", "our") operates maisonry.store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share your personal information when you visit our site, make a purchase, or otherwise communicate with us (the "Services"). By using the Services you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
Information we collect
- Contact details – name, billing and shipping address, email address and phone number.
- Order and payment information – the items you purchase, transaction details and payment confirmation. Payment card details are processed by Shopify Payments and its partners; we never see or store your full card number.
- Account information – if you create an account: username, password and preferences.
- Communications – the content of emails, reviews or support requests you send us.
- Device and usage information – IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, products viewed or added to cart, referring URLs and similar data collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
How we collect it
Directly from you (when you order, create an account or contact us); automatically through cookies, pixels and similar technologies when you use the site; and from service providers such as Shopify, our payment processors, shipping carriers and advertising partners.
How we use your information
- To provide the Services – process payments, fulfil and ship orders, send order and shipping confirmations, handle returns, warranty claims and support.
- Marketing and advertising – to send you marketing emails or SMS (where you have opted in, with an unsubscribe link in every message) and to show you relevant advertisements on other websites and platforms.
- Security and fraud prevention – to protect our store, our customers and our payment processors.
- Legal compliance – to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests and enforce our terms.
Cookies, pixels and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember your cart, analyse traffic and measure and improve our advertising. In particular, we use:
- Shopify analytics to understand how visitors use the store.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel and Conversions API, TikTok Pixel and Google Ads / Google Analytics tags to measure the effectiveness of our ads and to show you ads for our products on those platforms based on your activity on our site (for example, if you viewed a product or left items in your cart). These partners may combine this information with other data they hold about you under their own privacy policies.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of interest-based advertising through Meta Ad Preferences, Google Ads Settings, your TikTok account settings, or industry tools such as optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to run our business:
- With Shopify, which hosts our store and processes data on our behalf (see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy).
- With service providers that perform services for us: payment processing, order fulfilment and shipping, customer support tools, email and SMS delivery, analytics and cloud storage.
- With advertising partners (Meta, Google, TikTok) as described above.
- With fulfilment partners and carriers who need your name, address and contact details to deliver your order.
- When required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some jurisdictions treat sharing data with advertising partners for targeted ads as a "sale" or "share"; you may opt out as described under "Your rights".
International transfers
We are based in Singapore and our service providers operate globally, so your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where we transfer data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland we rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Services, meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Order records are typically kept for 7 years.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted (TLS) connections and PCI-compliant payment processing, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and Singapore's PDPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale"/"sharing" of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email support@maisonry.store. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To opt out of marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email. To opt out of SMS, reply STOP. We may still send you transactional messages about your orders.
Children
The Services are not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date.
